You can easily mount the clock mechanism to a decorative plate, but the body of the screw determines how thick the plate should be. The body of the screw requires the plate to have an 8mm diameter hole, which you can make with a drill. Place the black ring and the selected plate on the clock mechanism so that the body of the screw protrudes to the front of the plate.
Next, add the metal ring and nut and screw them to the top of the plate. Finally, place the hands on the clock one by one and insert an AA battery into the clock. Small hand 8cm, large hand 11cm, seconds hand 12cm.
