The beautiful design showcases the powerful figures of the eight immortals ('xian') from Chinese ...These traditional porcelain lidded jars are crafted through the time-honored process of hand throwing on a potter's wheel and hand decorating with a classic blue cobalt pigment. The beautiful design showcases the powerful figures of the eight immortals ('xian') from Chinese mythology, highly revered symbols of prosperity and longevity.

Above them are several bats to denote good fortune. A temple lion, representing protection against evil, graces the lid along with double fish for prosperity. The jars are made at small workshops in Jingdezhen, the historical capital of Chinese porcelain and still considered to produce the finest porcelain even today.
