The SkyKey excels in both small-scale and large-scale networks (being able to locally support up to 100 EnGenius devices) and lets these networks be managed both locally and remotely: this makes it much more convenient and efficient for network engineers who are able to manage and support EnGenius networks without physically visiting the site.

Among the various monitoring and management options offered by the SkyKey are security benefits (such as rogue AP detection), grouped SSIDs for fast WiFi roaming, band steering for more efficient network speeds and hotspot services for establishing captive portal and guest utilities. The SkyKey is extremely easy to install into an existing network infrastructure, making it ideal for large-scale networks in which continuity is vital such as schools, hotels and offices. It has 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports for connecting to network devices and is compliant with 12v DC or 802.3af/at PoE for power.
