It is an updated version of the Garmin GPSMAP64 with the addition of multi-band/ multi-GNSS handheld with sensors. It also works alongside the Garmin Explore app so you can transfer routes/ tracks directly onto this unit without the use of a PC/ Mac. Also with the addition of Garmin’s TOPO ACTIVE mapping (44 European countries), it is great for those wanting to venture further afield (See FAQ's tab).
This unit is similar to the Garmin GPSMAP 65s except it does not include the electronic compass and barometric altimeter. The electronic compass gives you accuracy at small movements (with this unit you will need to be moving to get both the map page and compass page to orientate) and the barometric altimeter gives you more accurate height data.
