'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys' is a sequel to the original animated classic. Rudolph, still the reindeer with the rosiest nose, is happy with life at the North Pole until the intrusion of the Toy Taker. This thief uses a special flute to lure the toys away from Santa - and now he wants to steal from the Island of Misfit Toys.
Santa must enlist the help of Rudolph and his chums to retrieve the toys in time for Christmas. 'Annabelle's Wish' is an animated musical for children. Born on Christmas Eve, young calf Annabelle's one wish is to fly like one of Santa Claus' reindeer.
She is befriended by Billy, a young boy who cannot talk, and together with their farmyard chums they set out to make Annabelle's wish come true - seeing off Billy's wicked Aunt and the local bullies along the way. 'Casper's Haunted Christmas' sees Casper and his uncles - Fatso, Stinkie, and Stretch - banished by the ghost ruler Kibosh to Kriss, Massachusetts. They are ordered to stay there until the kindly Casper learns to scare people properly.
As this does not look likely, the uncles come up with a plan: they will hire Spooky, Casper's look-a-like cousin, to do Casper's scaring for him. 'Flight of the Reindeer' is a Christmas fantasy starring Richard Thomas as Professor Jerry McNeil, a man who makes the surprise discovery that reindeers really do know how to fly. Jerry soon decides that there is only one way to make the world listen to what he has to say, and that is to travel to the North Pole and recover the proof.
So Jerry sets out for the frozen wastes, ready for the biggest adventure of his life, not knowing that he is about to have his ideas about family and the festive season changed forever. Finally, 'Ben Hur' is a lavish biblical epic starring Charlton Heston as a Jewish prince, Ben Hur, who falls out with his close Roman friend (Stephen Boyd) when he refuses to promote Roman rule over his people - his mother and sister are imprisoned and he is enslaved. Hur plans and achieves revenge, but finds true peace when he joins the new following of Jesus Christ.
The film - a perennial Christmas viewing favourite - won a record-breaking eleven Oscars, and is best known for its exciting chariot race sequence.
