This use requires a wetsuit that is clearly different from other wetsuits. Swimming breaststroke in cold water has always been a relatively joyless pastime. While you can’t stay in the cold water for long without a wetsuit, breaststroke is nearly impossible with a conventional wetsuit because conventional wetsuits provide way too much buoyancy to the legs while not allowing for the typical breaststroke leg stroke.
For this reason, Zone3 has developed the Aspect. The Aspect gives you a water position that supports breaststroke, the leg panels are cut to allow for breaststroke and at the same time the Aspect keeps you warm. With a few exceptions, all seams are sewn from the inside and welded from the outside, which keeps fresh water out and you won’t freeze in the Aspect.
To protect the wetsuit, especially during donning and doffing, large parts of the smooth neoprene are coated, which efficiently prevents damage from fingernail cuts. So if you swim breaststrokeand don’t want to miss out on the experience of "open water swimming" in cold temperatures – Aspect!!
